The center for space trading in the Naboo System, the station was a huge wheel which rotated with a central core, shining thousands of lights which shone like a lavish Cloud City Hotel. Around was a couple of lights which would almost certainly be the trading ships which was common throughout the galaxy now. Worlds was too unpredictable and dangerous for most now, for centuries it had become this way with most worlds in the Outer Rim, not much bothering with but this system was a jewel in the crown.
Jor'ak eased down a leaver to his left which cut the engines to half of his usual speed, he was well within tractor-beam range but would be docking on his own unless he was unfriendly or damaged. This time, it was just cargo again and he was dropping into the station several times a year, not supplying constantly to please most traders aboard but bringing in varying materials and cargo each time. This time, it was construction materials and then he would pick up food here and hope he could make it to the Kuati System the next morning, bringing food before the larger shipments to the crews who worked on building those massive ships which would later both guard the routes he used and be a irritation when he was following something very valuable. The typing noise to his right caused him to glance over at the brunette with long wavy hair next to him. She was his girlfriend Melissa, and both had traveled the length of the galaxy together, ever since teaming up after the 'Ang-ea Skirmish'.
It was amazing he thought as he glanced at the ever increasing space station rotating before him, that they were the likely to be the only pair of humans in the galaxy who could land on that floating wreak and be able to do whatever they wanted. They had helped the Ang-ea discover a heretic within their ranks and had provided them with cargo they had found unable to sell as well, been useful to the Grey stick-like species in several new ways than the cargo had been designed for. Food for the Ang-ea was hard to come by but whenever Jor'ak and Melissa got big for a short time, they always found some and dropped it off, always getting a heart-melting welcome from the remains of a once proud and highly-intelligent species.
Jor'ak eased down the throttle once more and noticed Melissa also watching as they made the final approach and entered the large hanger where several freighters and a couple of starfighters had landed. There was some pilots repairing their ships and droids moving about doing several tasks at once. Pipes was also crossing the hanger floor and boxes next to each ship probably contained the cargo the owners' of those ships wanted to buy or sell elsewhere. A couple of people was also exiting the hanger but otherwise, it was empty, not like the buzzing activity they could expect in the living decks and trade room. Powering down the ship, Melissa was already lowering the back ramp, leaving Jor'ak to finish shutting down and to catch her up outside the ship.
